Yeah it's in the area near the Ritz. Homes there are hella expensive but I never knew there was a 5 acre mansion hidden there.

Here's the Google Maps Link: Text

Old Town Pasadena is to the north, one of the "poshest" downtowns in the country.

If you go northeast you quickly run into Cal Tech.

Not a bad place to live :)

If you can finance that place, you won't be paying mortgage insurance :p

Obviously an incredible home, but for that amount of money I'd either need to be on the cost or have a lot more land. I guess if you have to be in the city, 5 acres is substantial.

That's really not an impressive feature. Many new homes include elevators, especially those townhome-style homes in urban areas. It's usually so elders can live there (mother-in-law plans, for example) without too much trouble. Some of the nicer townhomes are as high as 4 stories.

You can't get a mortgage that large anyway. At least not through anything even remotely resembling conventional means and terms. Maybe somebody knows of a super-mega-colossal jumbo loan program at 80%, but I don't.

edit: and wow, mansion doesn't describe it. That's a freakin' palace!

Fvck an elevator. If you live there, you can have anything you want in your house.... I think that last thing I can think of is an elevator.

Exactly what I was thinking. There better be a chocolate waterfall in there.

Not only that, but anyone who could afford that home can't itemize the mortgage interest (income threshold), so there is no point in mortgaging the property.

At that price it better have 12 big breasted topless virgins that carry me around on a big fluffy pillow.
