YALT: (Laundry). How do I wash a backpack?

Can I just toss it in the washing machine and dryer?
What setting should I use? It's black. Should I use "dark colors"?

Can I toss in other stuff with it? I kinda want to wash my pillowcases (light to medium blue) too (heard from someone here you should wash those pretty often). Can I do that?

try washing the backpack by hand.

the pillowcases can go in the washing machine fine.

yes, but you might want to hang it out to dry

Did mine like that no problem, it was a jansport..

Yes, I've done it a few times. Make sure the straps are secured as they can get caught on stuff in the washer.

I don't think I would put pillowcases in with it. Most backpacks are made of pretty abrasive material. I usually do mine with other sports equipment.

by hand. dump it in a bucket full of water. detergent. scrub. rinse. hang to dry.

If it's nylon - wet paper towel. If it's <anything else>, do as directed as above.

It's a jansport. I threw it in the washing machine. On cold.
