I am trying to complie some software for my linux box. When I run ./configure I get the error that I do not have openssl.Of course I have openssl. So then I run ./configure LDFLAGS=/path/to/openssl. Then I get the error that C++ will not comile executables. So how do I get ./configure to only look for openssl in that dir and not to try to check other system values. If necessary I can post the page that ./configure --help returns.
