I apologize as I do not mean to hijack this thread, but I was discussing this issue and the University of Missouri issue this morning with my wife. I didn't see a thread on the Missouri protest and barring of the student photo journalist, and didn't want to start a new thread. Plus, both of the issues are perfect examples of the lunacy on college campuses.

If you haven't followed the Mizzou altercation, a senior photojournalist student was barred from taking pictures at this public protest in the school's public square by none other than an associate Mass Media professor. Fortunately, the professor had the common-sense to resign and the Dean of Journalism had the balls to lambaste her, which she more than deserved. Unfortunately, her apology was centered around humanism and humility, and not the violation of First Amendment rights. How the fuck can she even be involved in journalism without seeing the irony of her actions?

My guess is that these 'safe places' are just echo chambers and video just reveals what is said in them. Extremism usually doesn't like scrutiny.

Let me understand this right.... They want "Safe Places" where they can't be recorded, but they want all cops to carry video surveillance at all times?

Oh.... dat hypocrisy... sooooo delicious.

Aren't some college professors employed by state universities? They are public servants, too.

I always thought the prevalence of Youtube/Social Media would lead to a more polite society...people in fear of looking like a idiot.

Guess I was wrong.

Because she isn't involved in journalism; she is involved in education. Those who can't do, teach.

Her behavior was disgusting of course and it's really a shame the guy with the camera didn't bash her face in with it for getting up in his business.

Nope. Just people like us that are too scared to say our opinions publicly. Because someone will try to get you fired because you aren't for some feminist/religious/<insert PC related topic> ideologies, regardless of how much they go against the root of what built this nation.

Nah, I think it will. People are still getting used to the idea that they are responsible for their actions in public, and that they have no expectation of privacy in public. This should hopefully be a good lesson.

Then how can they in good faith let her continue to teach? She actively pissed all over the first amendment while trying to incite violence.

At this point, if I was paying for my kid to go to the best journalism school in the country, I wouldn't want her anywhere near their education.

I find it disgusting that these conservative blogs have released full documentation on this girl.

Who gives a fuck if you don't like what she had to say....why would you publish her address and her name?

And now, posts referring to her by name are also being removed on Reddit...because again, stupid ass "anti-SJW" idiots are saying creepy shit about her and linking to her information.

The same thing is happening with the kid who launched a hunger strike at Mizzou. He is the son of a Railroad Exec at Union Pacific Railroad. Of course, that means we should release full information because neither of these people should be involved on social activism because they are wealthy minorities.

Oh I see, so she can publicly call someone out and flame them for absolutely no legitimate reason, telling lies after lies after lies - but if you try to confront her in anyway (be it reasonable or unreasonable) then all of a sudden she is a sweet delicate flower angel and shouldn't be harmed.

Not hard to tell which side you're on, the only question is how hard did your mom drop you on your head?

Did she release anyone's personal information?

So, If I disagree with someone's actions, It's perfectly okay for me to respond to leaking personal information about them? Secondly, she is a 20 year old student. Perhaps her debate skills are not as mature as a Professor who is surely old enough to be her father. So what, she acted out....you don't release her fucking address and information about her family.

Were you dropped on your head?

Not hard to tell which side you're on, the only question is how hard did your mom drop you on your head?

You fucking idiot. I also never said she was an angel. I don't even have a side in this. I am simply stating my disgust about how people act in response to shit they don't like...which is fucking ironic because her information was released as a direct result of conservatives not liking her reaction to a letter written be Faculty at her school.

http://dailycaller.com/2015/11/09/meet-the-privileged-yale-student-who-shrieked-at-her-professor/

The infamous “Shrieking Girl” at Yale University who now famously berated a professor for not making Yale a “safe space” is from a relatively privileged background and has been frantically moving to delete her online presence, an investigation by The Daily Caller News Foundation reveals. Also, despite shrieking “Who the fuck hired you?” in the notorious video, it turns out the student herself played a role in his hiring.
welcome to the internet.

don't start something you can not finish.

also anything posted on the internet is not private.

smith v maryland proved that.

Again, what does posting her personal information have to do with disagreeing with her actions?

it's not private nor is it personal.

it's freely available because she made it freely available.

people are just getting a back story on her.

Like her, you don't seem to understand the idea of being held responsible for your actions. If you did, you would know the answer to your question.

Don't condescend me, asshole, I understand personal responsibility. You don't counter someone's behavior by telling everyone where they live. If you think she's too privileged to be upset about whats going on at her Campus, there are plenty of mature ways you could have expressed that. Saying "Hey look everyone! She lives in a nearly $800,000 home! Here's the address and picture of her residence I looked up!" is lame and tacky. Yea, that will put her in her place.

y'ever feel like this is why bullies have carte blanche to do whatever the fuck they want?

For her trouble, a faction of students are now trying to get the couple removed from their residential positions, which is to say, censured and ousted from their home on campus. Hundreds of Yale students are attacking them, some with hateful insults, shouted epithets, and a campaign of public shaming. In doing so, they have shown an illiberal streak that flows from flaws in their well-intentioned ideology.
you know bullies do this shit.

but ya shes the "victim"
