Yakuza 3 for the PS3 Coming to the States in March 2010

Since Yakuza 3's release in Japan in February of 2009, gamers from other countries have been actively petitioning and campaigning Sony and Sega to release the game outside of Japan. Today, both Sony and Sega have announced that the next chapter in the Yakuza saga is indeed coming to the West and it will be exclusive to the Playstation 3 in March 2010.

Yakuza 3 will join an already impressive line-up of Playstation 3 games being released at around the same time including God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, and Heavy Rain. The game will continue to follow the story of Kiryu Kazuma as he tries to start a new life in Okinawa. But events pull him back into the underworld of Japanese gangs.

Yakuza 3 will feature the original Japanese voice cast along with english subtitles.

This is HUGE news. The Yakuza (RGG, whatever) games have insane production values, and they're a ton of fun. I really hope this sells as well as it should...

Looking forward to this even though I've never played a Yakuza game. I have Yakuza 2, maybe I should give it a try.

I tried the Ryū ga Gotoku 3 demo a while back but it was hard to do much since I don't understand Japanese.

Just got the game last week. Im loving it. Don't know how i missed in this whole time

Wow, what a resurrection.

The interesting thing about Yakuza is I couldn't get into 3, but I was having a great time with 4. The only reason I stopped playing it was because some other games came out and out and out and out and out...and here I am, mostly finished with all those games and I want to go back.

I have to say, the thought of going back is a little intimidating because the game it fairly vast. One day soon. 🙂
