YAKOTOR Thread - How long did it take you to beat KOTOR, and what class were you?

Just beat the game last night. Took me 41 hours to do it. I went the light side with a soldier/guardian character class. Guardians make great meat shields. My character was just shy of 300 vitality and I was doing over 60 points of damage on critical hits. Game was rather easy to me.

I'm thinking of trying a dark side scoundrel this time around. Has anyone that played as a scoundrel had a tough time in the solo missions? Just going by my experience playing a light side guardian, I can see a few spots were a scoundrel would have a very tough time by themselves. The ending being some of the toughest.

KOTOR is out for pc now isn't it? I believe i saw on the BioWare site that is out for PC but i will check.

I played through it twice. First time on the light side second time dark. I had about 70 hours of gameplay between the two games. I was all into it while I was playing, but now I have no desire to try to go through it again.

40 hours, i was a light scout/the jedi that excells in force usage...<forgot the name>. I beat that ish so fast....i was up all night and day for a while. Great game, just a tad too easy...Can't wait for the Xbox Live Downloads..

Beat it in 43 1/2 hours

Was a Light Side / Scout / Jedi Sentinal

I could put just about anyone in a stasis field... after that they were just something to chop down. I also used a regular light sabre + short light sabre in my off hand. made for some REAL good flurry attacks.

I'm going back through it as a female soldier. Haven't gotten off of Taris yet, but I'm already pretty dark

Yep

Most of the time though I ran around in Calo Nord's armor with some upgrades. Only time I would dress down to robes was when I wanted to bust out the force lightning or force drain :evil:

As a soldier, my wisdom, charisma, and intelligence were too low to have good modifiers to my stasis field. Most high level characters resisted. Didn't matter too much, with dual lightsabers, attack modifiers of +26 and +28, and critical hits on 12-20 for 60 points of damage things didn't last long anyway. I think after all my buffs, my strength was over 30 :Q

46 hours first time as a light scoundrel/consular.
26 2nd time as a dark dark mocha dark soldier/guardian. That chick was putting out like 120 pts damage per round, it was sick.
I started a 3rd time but I'm losing steam, especially since Madden 2004 just arrived.

~37 hours first time through as a light side guardian with dual sabres and critical strike. The only really hard part was the final battle because my force powers weren't high enough to work on malek and didn't affect the jedis. I just bashed him into the ground and healed like a mofo I started a dark side scoundrel who looks like Samuel Jackson, but haven't gotten off Taris since I loaned the game to my friend and haven't seen it since.

edit: Calo Nord's armor rocked, nothing in the game was close. The robes are good for using force powers, but the difference in defense sucks more in battle than the boost I got from master speed or knights valor powers.

I'm about 30 hours into it, as a Dark Jedi Guardian (started out as a scout.)

Awesome game! I can't get enough of it.
