A large company > 500 employees or a smaller company < 50 employees?

Also, which tend to be more lenient?

well, i've only worked at 1 large and 1 small company and i'd say the small one is better.

I've worked both large (3,000+ ee's) and small (~130 ee's).

The small one is more lenient, however that isn't necessarily a good thing. People seem to abuse things more at the smaller company (in my experience).
