wow if this doesnt sound like one of the biggest 'im actually bragging but im going to try and disguise all that with a question'-thread.

edit: and the same motive seems to run with all the threads you create. its like you need the attention. i wouldnt be the least bit surprised that you're probably rubbing one out to my reply right now.

Well maybe you should look at it this way: earn your pay

You stated that you work 9-5 but you often go in at 10, etc. Why don't you actually go in at 9 every day? Discipline yourself to earn your pay in every way you can think of. Don't worry about her, she's leading her own life, you take care of yours.

You're entirely incorrect.

Yes, I understand how capitalism works. This thread was more for the moral aspect of things. How is it "Fair" that someone who works just as hard as I do, maybe even MORE physically harder, makes less money (even if SLIGHTLY less money)?

Honestly, you guys took this way out of proportion.

I think it's because it's such a simple concept that the village idiot can understand it yet you don't.

What is so hard to comprehend.

Geting someone to do a physical job is easy, anyone can do that with almost no training.
Working in something that actually needs training and knowladge, that not anyone can do means you'll make more.

hahah this OP has to be a joke. Is he actually asking why some jobs pay more than others and some have more flexibility than others?
If that is the OPs question and he does "very complex work with UNIX databases" I fear for his employer.

He's a little bit of info... anyone can get any degree... not everyone can get common sense.
