Should I take a job at home, 450 miles away from my g/f in NYC?
or...move to NYC, try and find a job which I have been doing since May?

1. Job offer in hometown
2. g/f of 5 1/2 yrs. lives in NYC after moving in March for a job
3. I have had 5 interviews, many leads, but no offers (worth taking) in NYC
4. Move to NY to be with g/f or work then move in 6-12 months?

If you stay at home then you might as well break up with the girl as long distance relationships are useless, so if you want to stay with the girl or plan to marry her or whatever then move to NYC. You will find a job soon enough.

And you know the rules here ... pics of g/f stat

Na I don't necessarily agree with you on the long distance thing. We have been apart off and on since last summer, she was interning in California- came home in August, then moved to NYC in March. Damn fvcking fashion design. It's more or less the fvcking job, the city drives me nuts but I want to be there w/her.

dude she is very attractive!!! hope she's as nice as she looks. that's a tough spot you're in. i would probably be leaning towards taking the job on this one, but i'm sure there are more details you've left out. Either way, good luck with whatever you choose.

Sentinel,

Two choices - marry her and move to NYC

OR

Split up and take the job back home.

At some point, you need to decide if she is going to be your wife. If not, move on. If so, make it happen.

Don't move to NYC unless you're pretty damn sure you're going to marry her.

She is as nice as she looks, very very supportive of me...beyond what I expect half the time. I plan on asking her to marry me before Nov. but no longer than 6 mo. We are 23 yrs old, 24 in Dec.

I have an interview next week in NYC as well, see how things play out.

Yeah, YAGT/YAJT heh.

Judging from the pic... if you leave her alone in new york, she'll be impregnated the following day.

I say, goto new york... hit it, quit it and then hit it again.

I hope my advice is of use to you.
