I'm a salaried employee. If changed to an hourly rate, it comes out to about $15.85/hr before taxes. I worked on Sunday for a little over 8 hours, so this will give me a 48 hour week.

One of the upper management guys says to me today that they will be giving everyone that worked that day, $100 for the day. thats $12.50 an hour before taxes.

They didn't ask whether I wanted to be paid or get comp. time for it. Sounds like I got screwed.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way. As a salaried employee, you could have received jack squat for your extra 8 hours. Instead, you got a $100. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

You're a salaried at-will employee. You're lucky you're getting anything for having to work on Sunday.

EDIT: Apparently, great minds think alike.

Yup...all too often the only screwing that happens is when people go salaried. That's when you boss realizes, "Hey, unlimited work for fixed price!"
