I'm buying a car, I want to know roughly how much more certain cars will cost more than others for liability insurance. I can call insurance comapnies but they take many days to get back to me and it's a hassle to explain that I'm pricing out cars with insurance in mind. Are there any good sites with moderate detail in this regard?

Call state farm. I've called them and they gave me one over the phone. You just need to know specifics.

If there are tables, they're dependent on your state and what insurance laws/structures exist for underwriters. Search your state's insurance regulatory websites first for recent rankings, surveys, "typical" coverage and cost tables. Emphasis on "typical" because your situation would probably skew the numbers one way or another.

I found one for NJ two years back that basically listed what the major insurance companies charged for like a '95 Pontiac if you're (a) single, (b) under 25, (c) married, etc. etc.

Yup just call your insurance co... I also use State Farm. I call them and they pull up my account and then I just get a quote for the year, make, and model of the car I'm interested in. Very easy to do. Takes less than a minute.
