My current rig is as follows (or link in sig):

Core 2 Duo E6400 OC'd to 3.2Ghz
Asus P5B Deluxe
2GB DDR2-800
EVGA 9600GT
Optical drive
Seagate 160GB HDD
Antec 1200 (6x120mm and 1x230mm fans)
PC Power & Cooling 610w

Just picked up a decent deal on a Asus GTX 295 ($350). Should I be looking at beefing up my PSU too?

Why in the hell are you running only 2GB system memory?

My friends all say the same thing :D Thats on the list of upgrades, thinking another 4GB would set me straight. Just wanted to make sure I'm not going to zap my PSU.

You guys sure my PSU will be fine? I saw this: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardwa...rce-gtx-285-ocx-1gb/13

Idle - 224w
Load - 434w
Peak - 460w

Looks like I can't read very well :(

We tested the power consumption with a Watts Up? Pro power meter, using the device to record the total system power consumption at the wall socket, while we ran three sets of four runs of Crysis in DX10 at 1920x1200

Yeah I'll be fine.

Positive...PC P&C Silencer 610W is a solid PSU and easily enough for any single videocard in a moderate system without a ton of HDDs or peltiers
