Aight,

If you've read this thread, you know how I feel about ID.

Moving on, I'm just curious as to how much of the ATOT population actually believes in this . . . uh . . . 'idea'.

I'm treading on very very dangerous territory here, since this is a dabate about religion and the slightest spark provokes a flamewar, but try to be civil, or please keep all the negative comments out of it, k? :)

"Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe-a spirit vastly superior to that of man.... In this way the pursuit of science leads to a religious feeling of a special sort, which is indeed quite different from the religiosity of someone more naive."
Albert Einstein, January 24, 1936

ID is more of a philosophical discussion, rather than of science...who is to say it's true/untrue?

I hope im not the only one to offer an official answer to the question... but...

I believe that the universe began as a singularity and has become what it is today from that point. I do not doubt any of our observations of the path and steps which took place to get from the singularity to the known universe as it is today based on our direct observations with telescopic infromation and facts gathered. This is undisputed scientific fact. However, I also do believe philosophically that the course of that creation was guided through or caused by a creator. IE the God that i believe in. I do not spout that as science, because it is not.

I do not believe in young earth theories or any theory which defys facts. that being said, because philosophically a creator cannot be proven or disproven, and I do believe in one regardless.

I do still often struggle with biogenesis and the creation of life.
