ok so my local radio station does this "retro plex" at noon. I don't normally listen to it cause it sucks, but sometimes I catch the intro. To intro in the program they compiled a whole bunch of quotes, sayings, pieces of songs, etc from whenever things were "retro". I know most of them but one quote, and this is all I hear, goes "walk like an egyptian". What the hell is that from? A song, movie, something before my time? The way they say it, it sounds like a song but what song?

OMG... just when i was reading that.. the newscaster had a clip playing and it was walk like an egyptian in teh background!

It's a very popular song from the 80's

Mmmm. The Bangles. Mmmm. Especially Suzanna Hoffs. She's still gorgeous today. I always loved her eyes.

just listened to it. For some reason I feel like I've heard that song, but it may have just been others by that band

I liked it though 🙂

:music:King Tut (King Tut)
Now when he was a young man,
He never thought he?d see
People stand in line to see the boy king.

(King Tut) How?d you get so funky?
(funky Tut) Did you do the monkey?
Born in Arizona,
Moved to Babylonia (king Tut).

(king Tut) Now, if I?d known
they?d line up just to see you,
I?d trade in all my money
And bought me a museum. (king Tut)

Buried with a donkey (funky Tut)
He?s my favorite honkey!
Born in Arizona,
Moved to Babylonia (king Tut)

Dancin? by the Nile, (Disco Tut)
The ladies love his style, (waltzing Tut)
Rockin? for a mile (rockin? Tut)
He ate a crocodile.

He gave his life for tourism.
Golden idol!
He?s an Egyptian
They?re sellin? you.

Now, when I die,
don?t think I?m a nut,
don?t want no fancy funeral,
Just one like ole king Tut. (king Tut)

He coulda won a Grammy,
Buried in his Jammies,
Born in Arizona, moved to Babylonia,
He was born in Arizona, lived in a condo made of stone-a,
King Tut! :music:

LOL, could the song possibly be "Walk like an Egyptian"? It's a very famous song, BTW. I believe it hit no. 1.
