I usually don't get into this stuff, but this article just annoyed me.

http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...e?AID=/20051213/SCHOOLS/512130355/1026

"He was really into 'Jurassic Park,' " his mother recalled. The trouble was, "we kept reading over and over that 'millions and millions of years ago, dinosaurs roamed the Earth,' " Marjorie Rogers continued. "And that's where I said, 'Hmm -- wait a second.' "

In other words "Hmm, wait a second. Every major principle of chemistry and geology must be wrong because God told me so."

Edit: Sorry about putting it in OT, I meant it for P&N.

Edit: Dammit! I can't believe I put YOID instead of YAID! Fixed.

Morons. I usually don't stereotype, but every single person that believe in Intellegent Design is a moron. And that's a fact, not a theory.

Honestly, I did it just because I like to provoke people but it's getting ridiculous. I'm thinking about getting it changed.

Of course, you must obey me since, you know, you can't prove that I'm some douche on the internet and not an all powerful supernatual being - since that's just a theory, not fact.

Instead of biology, we should just have a class that praises jesus. That would stop the whole debate once and for all.

Intelligent Design as a belief (faith) is just fine -- after all, there is no way to determine if there was or was not an intellligent being behind the design of the universe.

The problem is that the wackos want to make ID a part of science, which it clearly is not. Anyone who thinks ID is anything but unprovable faith or belief is indeed a moron.

Of course! I might be a douchy douchebag who acts like a douche all the time, but I'm honest about it. ;)

I think the "Hmm" was for the millions of years, not she disbelieves that she believes that dinosaurs didn't exist. Considering all the fossil evidence it would be a bit absurd to disbelieve that dinosaurs existed, but no so absurd to believe that they went extinct not millions of years ago, but thousands of years ago.

Bah. The fossils were put there by the one and only creator to fool unbelievers and test his/her followers.

Amateurs. -rolleyes-

If people want to believe in something as ridiculous as Intelligent Design, more power to you. There are people who believe in witches, elves, dwarves, and goblins too. Just keep your fantasies to yourself and out of our public institutions.

Jehovah, I like your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I have some ideas on how to cure this problem you have identified. So far, I have only come up with genocide....

..... the ends justify the means, right?

I think if this is done correctly, we can make Hitler look like a child in a sandbox. The only REAL problem I have with mass genocide isn't even the number of "innocents" (intelligent people mis-identified as morons) that would be killed.... it's the fact that I can't think of any objective system to decide who really is a "fvcking idiot." Since that is by its nature a subjective definition, such a genocide would never be pratical unless each individual could stand trial for their own stupidity- which would be horribly inneficient.

I dunno..... <dreams of a smarter gene pool>
