So my water cooling pump is plugged into an extension cord that runs up to a light w/ an outlet on the ceiling. Little did I know that the switch on stairs that I usually turn off whenever I'm out controls this outlet:(

You guessed it, I left my PC on and the switch off...

I had temp monitoring software running at the time. When I came back I checked temps, and the log was saying it got up to ~80C (CPU this is, only on the loop) It throttled back a number of times, but amazingly it never turned off. And, it's still working now, so I hope nothing was mildy broke internally.

AHAHAHAHAHA.... DC pumps FTW!!

Anyhow dont worry, the cpu will undergo thermal shutdown at 85C to prevent thigns from melting.

Glad to see nothing is fryed tho.

yah I know....right know I am using a fishpond pump for my loop because the whole thing is homemade. I will eventually get a "inside of case" pump that will run off the psu, not my wall outlet
