YAHUT - New head unit - FM reception needs help

Car is a '98 Accord. Antenna is in the rear window glass. My stock head unit did pretty good with local FM stations.
A few weeks ago I got a Pioneer HU, reception was worse than the stock unit.
I replaced the Pioneer with an Alpine HU and the reception is about the same as the Pioneer. Is there any way to improve FM reception?
