Sweet the wife and I were the winning bidders on a HUD repo.

1490sqf in a nice quiet neighborhood near a school and park.

It?s a fixer upper but I was a contractor for 15 years so I was able to see beyond the stuff that need fixing. It should be a great way to build some fast sweat equity.

We got a great deal, last years tax appraisal on the house was $108,000 and are winning bid was $81,000.

I know what your talking about, we just left the Bay Area 3 months ago for the same reason.
