Yahoo walls out Trillian

Whatever, I don't talk to anyone on Yahoo anyway. Trillian will have a patch soon enough.

IM ICQ and MSN all still work so im good. Seems that bot AIM and MSN have tried to inform Trillian bout potential problems, not specifically hurt them.

Is the patch for Yahoo? I can care less about Yahoo but my wife uses it and she is threatening to install Yahoo on the machine! NO WAY!

The patch fixes the yahoo "bug." I'm connected right now with trillian with no problems. Earlier this morning, I couldn't connect.

Ahhh now that I can't say for sure. I use pro so I can speak for pro. I'm not sure about the non-pro version.

Currently it's 2.0 only, but they're working on 1.0 and .74 Free right now. I have a feeling the 2.0 users will be their test-bed, and once they have things hammered down, it will be released for everything else.

Our friends over at Cerulean Studios managed to break my speed record at cracking Yahoo authentication schemes with an impressive feat of hackery. They sent it over and here it is in Gaim 0.70. However, certain details of the authentication scheme depend on the challenge string the server sends us, and there's really no way to tell what it does until Yahoo starts sending new challenge strings. So you can expect a few more breakages to come soon. I wouldn't sign offline if I were you.

So trillian 2.0's fix may not work for long.
