So, I'm getting the subject: emails almost every week.

From the USA.
From China.
From Brazil.

I have two-factor authentication on.
I reset my password slightly before the news leaked regarding whichever was the latest Yahoo user account theft was.

I have half a mind to take the painful pill and *convert all my accounts to move from Yahoo to my less-oft used Gmail account.

Comments? Suggestions?

* Is your email address a changeable field for most sites? My guess is there are some sites where this isn't an option.

I had a Yahoo email account since 2003. Despite routinely changing my password, my account was compromised at least four separate times that I remember before their latest two major security breaches.

At that point, I finally said enough is enough and deleted my account. I have also had a Gmail account for roughly the same amount of time, and I have never had an issue with it at all by routinely changing my password like I did with the Yahoo account.

I guess you could wait it out and see if their buyer (presumably Verizon) fixes their issues, however I had enough. I was able to remove the Yahoo account from any attached account, and replaced it with the Gmail one. I never ran into a site where that wasn't possible.
