You have to make sure you are asigning the right ip. As far as I know yahoo does not offer a pop3 server. I have an email that does is nettaxi.com. Anyway, there are two parts to the pop3 accounts. The pop 'ip' and the smtp 'ip', just recognize them and place them in your MS configuration where they belong, and you are all set. If you need further information just sned me a private message. I will be glad to help you

Incoming: pop.mail.yahoo.com port 110
Outgoing: smtp.mail.yahoo.com port 25

It works, otherwise I'd get no mail

I just read on the yahoo site that you'll have to be logged in to send messages: meaning you'll have to click "send/receive" then you'll be logged in via outlook...then click it a second time and you should be able to send the message.

I can't send outgoing mail with yahoo either, although I can receive it just fine. My settings are the ones listed and I tried sendin/receiving first, but no luck.

To you use Yahoo! pop mail, you must first sign up for Yahoo! Subscriptions.

Under the options link in your browser once you've logged in, click Pop access and forwarding in the right hand screen. There you can choose Web and POP Access. However, if you don't sign up for Yahoo! delivers, you can't do this. Its just a monthly spam for Yahoo events, but not a large price to pay. Yahoo! Delivers is also under the options link in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Once you've signed up for this, you can fill in your pop and smtp mail info as well as your username and password. It should work then.
