Yahoo Pinochle & XP

Okay, I'm working on an old lady's computer and she has this problem that I haven't been able to fix.

When I try to exit the lobby of Y! Pinochle the window never closes and I cannot enter the lobby again until I kill the process. I've tried it on 3 XP machines - a SP2, an SP1, and a clean install with SP2.

Will somebody else with XP please help me out. Just go to games.yahoo.com click on "all 28 card games" pick Pinochle, enter the lobby then try to close the window. I've also tried java 1.4.2 and 5. Thanks!

works ok on my system, XP SP2 with Java 1.5

I tried that version of java just now. I got the same results. What could I be missing? I did a clean install of XP, loaded java, and went to Pinochle and it hung up on exit.

what browser you using to access the site? I've tried Firefox and IE - both work fine for me

Was using IE. I just installed Firefox and tried it. It worked great. I'll just tell her she has to use it. Thanks for the help!

cool - must be an issue with IE, it's actually hung on mine a few times now with IE (first time it was fine though)
