Link to Yahoo Music sign up page.

You need to use a mastercard for this deal.
I have this service for almost a year. Songs encoded at 192 K WMA, not the greatest, decent for computer speakers.
If you perfer Music To Go (for mp3 player), it would be $119.88 for 2 years, normally 1 year for $119.88.

I used this service last year.. Complete waste of money. The software is buggy, crappy.. Nothing would hardly download.. every time I began to download something, it would halt at around 50%, of each fvcking download..

Been using it for years, it works fine, but the software is a bit intrusive. Haven't had any problems with it per se, but it keeps resetting the Yahoo player as my default music player.

192 WMA is crappy? That's what I use for my car stereo and is sounds great!

Actually.. whenever that rare occasion, I successfully downloaded something, it sounded great...

When I signed up.. I thought.. wow.. $60 for the whole year... I'll be able to "tunebite" this $hit, and never have to buy a cd again.. well.. I didn't even get my $60 worth..
It sporadically worked..

I'm wondering why Yahoo is offering 2 years for the same price? Quite possibly they've lost a ton of subscribers recently..

I haven't tried Yahoo's, but this is tempting. I used Rhapsody for a while, then I tried MusicMatch. Both software programs for each had lots of issues. I liked Rhapsody the best overall, but the DRM issues drove me absolutely nuts. Some of the CDs I actually purchased I was unable to burn until I contacted tech support.

Hmmm, why did you guys have so much trouble? It actually works quite well for me. The music I downloaded were mainly oldies (not totally oldies, but nothing current), could it be the problem? I did find some songs were not downloadalbe, or only for 30 sec on-line-listen; I emailed Yahoo a few time, they corrected it and apologized. Beside that, I have..., I think, more than 50,000 songs in my computer - a huge jukebox I can never have.

I have also been using this for almost a year and it has worked quite well. The first couple of releases of the software were buggy, but I have not had problems for 8 or 9 months now. My son uses it more than me, and coupled with ReplayMusic, this can't be beet.

I definitely prefer Yahoo Music over anything else I've tried including Napster. The software is a little quirky though and it suddenly stopped working for me one day.

I used Rhasphody, Napster, and Yahoo. I think Yahoo has the best value. I haven't had any problem with the software

I to had them all and found Yahoo to be the best and has the higher bit rate of the 3 as well.
I never had any problems with the software the whole year I had it.

Anyone know how well the Music To Go Service works? Can you download to more than one MP3 player? If I could download to my and my wifes MP3 player I would give this a try. I have been thinking about it for a while, and this special is about to push me over the edge.

Your mp3 player needs to support "play for sure", check your player's manual. How about try it free for 7 days? Actually, the files will be "alive" for 30 days once downloaded, even for 7 days try membership. You need to cancel your account before the try day end, or you'll be charged.
Here is a tip, after you sign up, cancel it immeditately, and you still have 7 days to try.

My wife had a hard time using the service w/ her Dell DJ. It would only authorize some of the tracks when it was sync'd. Ugh

We both hace creative zen xtras which support plays for sure with a firmware upgrade, so I should be ok there. I was tempted to try the free trial, but was afraid that it may invalidate the two for one offer as it is for new customers only. The assume the free trial creates and account, and would log my credit card number, then block the promo.

I haven't found any support number or even email to use to ask them about multiple MP3 players. I would think they would support that but the way the RIAA is, who knows they may want extra money pre player.

I used Yahoo when it first came out for $60 a year with the Music to Go Service and I really enjoyed it (even with the software problems which hopefully have improved). I cancelled it after a year though because I didn't have a Play for Sure compatible MP3 player or the money for a new one.

I might pick this up though along with a Zen Vision:M (which seems spectacular).

Beware though: I don't think a software equalizer will have any effect on these protected WMA. If that matters to you.

I signed up with Mastercard, and it only shows that you have signed up for 1 year. I emailed billing about this, and got the following response...

The Yahoo! Music Unlimited MasterCard promotion is "buy 1 Year with your
MasterCard, get 1 Year free." If you subscribed using your MasterCard
for a Yahoo! Music Unlimited annual subscription, you will be charged
for your first year of service, but the second year is free. The next
billing date will be one year after sign-up. However, the bill amount
will be $0.00.

Great, no place does it show it is BOGO in my bill/statement, so I will have to check this again next year, and possibly have to hassle with it again.

I have had Napster, and have to say so far, Napster was better on the interface and song selection. But, this is ~$60 for 2 years.
