Yahoo Messenger Sucks

Just downloaded and attempted to install Yahoo Messenger 6.0, and the checkbox for "Set Yahoo as default search engine" is checked by default and cannot be unchecked, lame.

*edit* I should mention this is only when you're installing with the custom option. But the typical install option already gives you the bloatware.

At least with programs like deadaim or other free 3rd party apps, you can get rid of the ad banner. You can even do it on your own with reshack.

AIM = Haven't tried
Yahoo = OK but nothing Messenger doesn't have really.
ICQ = way more then I wanted in a messenger.

Windows Messenger = OK and not bloated also works with Outlook and it's installed by default.

GAIM is good but quits working correctly whenever yahoo or someone comes out with a new version of their messenger. The Gaim folks need to take time to then release a new version.
