Is this IM program worth the download? ..and no I won't wanna use Trillian, thanks.

Just got someone emailing me I knew a while back wanting me to install it, so just wondered.

Alright I've been using it for a little while and think it's crap. Firstly there are booters everywhere (is there a way to prevent getting booted?), secondly there should be an option to not check mail on yahoo startup.

Ive been using it for awhile to talk to some family members and out of state friends. Its ok.

I like the ability to have different profiles on your account. As far as I know Trillian doesn't allow you to do this with Yahoo IM which is the reason I use Yahoo over Trillian.

I usually don't have a problem being booted.

What do you mean by booters? There is an option to not check mail in the preferences section...

People that disconnect your yahoo when you go into a chatroom. Use google for a better definitation.

ahhh you mean in chat rooms. Ok, I thought it was people sending you messages that were booting you. I don't know about the chatrooms, but good luck! I would probably switch to something like Trillian. Its funky at first but once you get it configured it works great and I havent ever been booted
