Yahoo Mail

Did Yahoo announce they were changing the look of yahoo mail too or did I miss something? Sometimes when I login to yahoo mail, it's the old interface.. and on occasion, it'll have a new look to it. It doesn't happen everytime so I just thought it was weird.

They changed it a few days ago. Unless they already promoted it to "stable", you have to click the "Switch to beta view" (or something to that effect) link on the front page of your e-mail page. Viewing it with Mozilla, I think it's one of the best e-mail interfaces designed, second only to FastMail.FM's.

never noticed the notepad thing.. but i like the pull down menus.. and the bulk folder empty button.. dont recall that either..

hm, can this be used with atot? i just know atot rejects hotmail i think. using netscape mail for the thread notifications but their interface is pathetic.

i have 2 yahoo accounts i use. i tried out the beta on one of them when the beta first came out but switched back after a day. that account permanently switched to the new look as of yesterday. there's no way to switch back as far as i know. it says welcome to the new look where they use to have a switch back to old version link.

my other account which i never used to test out the beta is still using the old interface.

I don't think it makes a difference with the new interface because a year ago when I registered here at AT, they rejected Yahoo and Hotmail addresses. Most likely still the case.
