Yahoo Mail - POP access

Is YahooPops the only app that allows email retrieval through POP ? It doesn't quite work for me... very inconsistent with success/failures.

Thanx.

I grabbed the Standard Installation of that (not the Lite) and it says it supports Yahoo without a separate module download. Is this true? Because I'm trying to use it to POP into (via Mailwasher) my Yahoo account and it keeps telling me bad username (I did use @yahoo.com) or password.

Also, if anyone knows of any FREE apps that does this, that would be great. Appreciate it.

Mailwasher and web2pop is what I use also. The developer of web2pop doesn't put out new installers very often, only updates the modules, so make sure you have the latest yahoo module, 1.0.7.40, or download it if you don't. (also, make sure your pop server is Web2Pop)

Eprompter is another one you might try. I found web2pop works the best for me tho.

Do you happen to have a firewall up also ? Do you use proxy 192.168.1.1 or do I have to put in 192.168.1.1:8080? Do I have to have port 110 forwarding or use another port for this ?

I'm using a firewall (kerio) but have web2pop set to the default "listen to port 110" with the proxy server blank. Web2pop also adds the entry "127.0.0.1 web2pop" to the hosts file.

(Iirc, I gave web2pop selective access to the yahoo servers only.)
