I cant access my yahoo email at work. Is there any way to get to my yahoo inbox? Anonymizer.com is blocked, I'm not going to use a remote connection program to connect to my home pc.

call up your help desk and bitch and moan how you can't check your personal email account on company time because the nazi network admins has them blocked. That's what I would do.

No one has told us that we cant access personal email or other sites (non-blocked of course) at work. Its implicitly understood that we can surf as long as it dosent impact our work. My boss dosent care as long as I get my job done.

Since my work just recently started blocking... I'll bet the OP works with me!

If that's the case, he/she works on the help desk. Calling would be pointless.

Come to my desk. I have God access. 😛 And the less common proxy sites DO work, btw. Even the Help Desk managers use 'em!

A good company will have blocked access to proxies. We'll see if yours does though.

Granted, the l337 Speek at Proxify is fun though. 🙂

Exactly. If I were your boss tontod, I would write your ass up.

Guess I'm glad you're not my boss 😉

Plus, its not like I spend a lot of time checking email, only a few minutes.

It's blocked where I work. The general belief is that if a site is blocked, they don't want you to access it. Ask the network admin and see what he says.
