Yahoo mail app spamming more?

I used to go through yahoo mail via my browser because of a wakelock and I didn't seem to get as much but since I'm using the yahoo mail web app I'm getting a ton more spam to an email account that is mostly dormant.
 
I almost never use my Yahoo mail account, but I have it set up on my devices, just in case.

Recently, I have been receiving many items marked 'junk' on that account. (I am not sure if that is exactly what you meant, but I am putting it out there for you.)

Most of Yahoo's income is derived from spam. You get what you pay for.

They had some sort of (another) breach of login/passwords last month, so it should be another round of spam to contacts those email accounts have.

They use the contact name, finish with proper yaboo email address, but the main spammy link portion is sooo bad. You'd think they would be better at it, lol. (Also, they don't actually spam from compromised@yahoo.com email account. Nope, they'll do it from compromised@norwayhobags.com or something instead.)
