Yahoo IM in Trillian?

Hello all.

I just got Trillian set up yesterday. It's a great program. MSN, AOL, and ICQ are all working fine for me. My brother told me I should get on Yahoo IM too, so I say what the heck and got an account.

But it won't connect for me. I get this message in the status window:

*** Creating connection "swan_chin"
*** Fetching cookies...
*** You have successfully connected to Yahoo! Messenger.
*** Lost connection to Yahoo! Messenger (couldn't get header)! Error code 0.
*** Lost connection to Yahoo! Messenger (couldn't get header)! Error code 0.


Then it just keeps trying to connect. I downloaded the regular yahoo IM and it worked fine.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

What all should I have to do?

Click the Y! icon and then hit connection manager and enter the ID and password. Check auto connect and then click connect, right? It still won't work for me.


Anyone know what the problem is?

Yahoo is working here too, so it doesn't seem like a widespread thing. You'll likely have better luck at the trillian forums at www.trillian.cc

Try again on another day
I sometimes have this problem - I think it means there is a timeout.
Usually I have a bad day once a month or so.

Well, it's still doing to today, so I don't think it's just a Yahoo problem.

Does anyone have Yahoo working in Trillian? Can you tell me what you did to set it up?

I just downloaded it 4 days ago, so I assume so.

thats all I had to do and it works fine

although I only have like 8 people on my Yahoo list (who are never online btw) 😉

Well, since I never used Yahoo before this, I only have 2 contacts. So that's probably not the problem😉
