Yahoo fantasy football BS.. how should I handle this?

So I'm pretty pissed off right now. I'm in a Yahoo pro league ($20 buy in, public league). I have had some bad lucky/injuries early in the season and started 0-4. Obviously I cannot afford anymore losses, so I decided it was time to make a move. I posted on the message board that I am trading Arian Foster to the highest bidder. I am looking for WR/RB Depth to get my team back in the game.

I received offers from nearly every team. After a few days of negotiating, Wednesday night I finally agreed to a deal with another team.

I gave up Arian Foster, Jeremy Maclin and Jacquizz Rodgers. He gave me Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin and Alfred Morris.

Obviously this deal helps me a great deal. Percy can replace Maclin in my starting lineup. And I get two RB's for 1. The nice thing though is that the other owner benefited as well. He lost AP, his only starter and gave up Alfred/Percy who were both borderline starters for him. His team is 0-4 and quite loaded. I think he was trying to bulk up for the playoffs while selling off some of his depth.

The trade was apparently protested by someone in the league and went to Yahoo review.

According to Yahoo's site about pro leagues

If a manager feels that the deal is unfair, he/she can lodge an official protest with the Fantasy Sports League Office. Every protest (which must contain a description of why the protesting manager feels the trade should be vetoed.) will be reviewed by members of the Yahoo! Sports staff within the review period.
It is not the purpose of the League Office to prevent coaches from making unwise trades, but rather to simply ensure that all coaches in a league are competing on a level and fair playing field. All decisions on trade protests are final. Explanations about why specific trades were approved or rejected are not provided.

Soo... WHAT THE FUCK. Why was my trade veto'd then?!?!? I'm fucking pissed. Not only did the trade not get veto'd until this morning (when the trade was made on Wednesday afternoon) but now its to late to make any other trades and I'm stuck starting a bye week running back since I didn't get my 2 RB's for 1 deal done.

It's only a $20 league, so its not the money that I'm concerned about, but more the principal of it. I'm obviously never going to be playign another Yahoo league again, free or paid. I have emailed Yahoo regarding the situation, but I'm not expecting a resolution. Hell, I'll be lucky to even get an explanation.

I also plan on disputing the league charges with my bank. In addition, if there isn't a satisfactory resolution within a week, I will be dropping all of my players and doing everything in my ability to disrupt the league.

The last part I would not do if it weren't for two league members being complete dicks about this situation. They are talking all kinds of shit like "welcome to the big leagues" etc...

I know I'm not out of my mind. This trade isn't ridiculously unfair one way or the other so I can't figure out for the life of me why they would veto it. What else can I really do at this point though?

If the trade got voted down by the league then there is not much you can do about it. You can bring it up to the commissioner but you won't be able to just say "I would have picked up this free agent" after the fact. The only change you can really argue is that you would have started someone on the bench over one of your bye week running backs if you have one but you need to make that decision right now and not after the scoring has begun.

Metal, thing is there isn't a commissioner. It is Yahoo that reviews the trades. By their own rules they should not have veto'd the trade, yet they did.

That's why I was usually the commissioner.... a lot of people have no common sense. You're hosed, yahoo will respond with a cookie cutter reply, and any attempt to disrupt the league makes you look like the dbag in their eyes.

That's what I figured, but to be honest I don't care if I look like a dbag. I want vengeance one way or another. I'm not just going to sit here and tolerate it. I'm going to do something.

Nope. Read the original post. Yahoo's trade review policy is in quotations.

Then that really sucks. Yeah the trade was most def a plus for you but I don't see anything outrageous or any sort of "collusion" about the trade.

You can bring it up to Yahoo but who knows what the response will be if any. I would not play in a public league for money again bro.

I'd probably do the same.

I really really want to start Stafford as I think Bears defense is overrated but hmm.. RG3 is ridic!!

Reason number 38 why I gave up fantasy football after a number of years of playoff/championship play.

The frustrations just started to outweigh the pleasure.

Yahoo probably didn't look at it, they probably applied an algorithm based on beginning of year value. Since Peterson was hurt and Harvin wasn't expected to do much they had low perceived value. To their computer it looks like you're dumping the #1 overall player for a couple of guys with value in the 100s.

Vetoing trades boggles my mind. None of my leagues paid or otherwise deal with that shit. Trade what you want, who cares? It's a fucking game

For sure start RG3.. this coming from a Detroit fan. Stafford just isn't playing right this year. I don't trust him at all.

There should be the ability to veto trades, but only for obvious BS trades, where one guy is giving up and dumping or collusion.

Yahoo... there's your first problem. Go with ESPN next year, choose a commissioner, profit. I also prefer ESPN's layout and mobile app as well.

Fantasy football is serious business. Check OP if you don't believe me. He's ready to kill somebody over $20 and he's nowhere even near the lead.

I played a season of fantasy football on Yahoo a few years ago and a I did a few seasons of fantasy baseball there as well. I didn't even know that Yahoo could veto trades. I thought it was all up to the commissioner to give the final approval/rejection. Maybe for completely public leagues it's different.
