Yahoo email working for you today?

I can't log into my Yahoo email account today no matter how hard I try I just can't log into anything from them today. I can use the Yahoo messenger and it's working below average but at least it works. We're using a firewall here today so I'm wondering if that's it or not. I can log into my other email accounts just fine, and acess othyer webpage fine (abiet a bit slow). Anyone else have this problem? I've tried both webpage based and POP based to get to my email to no avail!

can't check my e-mail either...I noticed that it has been getting slower and slower this past week. I am sure it has something to do woth this new virus going aound

Yahoo email is blocked here at work, but I can access it just fine from my cell phone.

I've had trouble for more than a week with Yahoo. I read somewhere that their servers have been very busy since the WTC attack.

Exactly how are they blocking this and is there a workaround (besides cell phone)?

I would think all you would need is another web based email that can check a POP account and you'd be OK. But whe I tried Excite I couldn't acess that one either. Any suggestions?

They use WebSense filtering software that blocks out all internet based email access among other things.
We used to be able to use www.safeweb.com and get around it, but they blocked that as well.

That worked great! I just went into my altavista account and now I can read my Yahoo POP emails! If I had known Yahoo might be blocked I would have thought of this earlier! Thanks!
