I think it is a very apporpriate way for them to remember this day.

Also I've heard news reports on diffrent sites saying that ISPs have agreeded to create a "moment of silence" on the internet at 12EST for 60 seconds anyone confirm this?

And microsoft fails to recognize this signifagance of this day on thier site at all go figure.

wow, that is great. Companies such as Amazon.com have gone overboard with the whole front page as a dedication. I much prefer the way yahoo.com did not eliminate the entire content.

I can confirm that if that is true they'll be facing lawsuits out the ass.

Heh even on this day they are concerned about bandwidth ha!

i think they are trying to be more classy about it. No reason to make 90% of your users cry everytime they access the site.

Man I feel like crying today. I work at a bank and we are streaming CNN to all the conf rooms. I have to make sure the connections stay up and cannot escape this depressing and sad broadcast no matter where I go. I am waiting to hear the names of the ppl I know that died a year ago. They are only on the Bs.

Outside is cloudy, it's like the earth knows everyone is grieving :(

Of the sites that I think of when I think "mega" sites (Yahoo, Google, Amazon, Ebay, AOL, MSN) I personally like Yahoo's the best. Yes, it's a bit depressing, but I also found it very tasteful, classy and much more powerful than any of the others.

thanks. i flipped through the channels and only saw CBS transmitting pictures of the victims during the ceremony. i cannot believe it. faces on people that have died strictly because of where they make their living. it astounds me. if given the chance i would personally rip the throats out of those responsible.
