(Yet another help me design a website thread)... :D

http://www.pcthike.com/newbio/

I've got the basic idea (layout, menu, and the stupid logo that I have to keep in it [upper-right hand corner]). What else can I do to make this site better? Other things I should add?

The menu is preliminary, it doesn't have all the stuff I'll need to put in it. Right now, the site feels empty, and I'm trying to figure out a way to remedy that; I want it to feel clean, but have more filling than there is right now. Ideas?

I like it, just need to add info and some graphics. How did you go about creating it?

Underline the menu-style links on the top... Looks good otherwise.
And space those top-level menu items evenly ;)

The menu is DynamicDrive's HVMenu; the rest of it I coded in pico (messing with CSS code & layout). Graphics are courtesy of Photoshop.

I always do a layout in Photoshop first, then when I figure out what I want, code it in CSS. It still feels empty, though. I'm trying to figure out where/what to put in. Graphics, probably -- but I don't know where. Ideas?

Cool, thanks. The spacing will be even once I actually put in the menu items I need to be there. :D

Also, I would remove that black rectangular box around your site. Since your content does not center itself, the box makes it look odd. Just have infinitely expanding white margins. But try keeping the top part of the box, just around the menu and the logo:

_______________
|______________|

(no box around the main part)
