YAHDTVT: stretch modes on cable

I just got HDTV Charter cable installed today and now the stretch modes on my Toshiba 46H83 aren't available. The cable remote has stretch mode options on it, but I don't like them as well as the Toshiba's. Is there anything I can do to enable the Toshiba's stretch modes when watching cable?

most modes of stretch are only availble with SD/480i inputs. as soon as you go to 1080, you lose the majority of modes as it's a native format.
