YAH2T: Yet Another Halo 2 Thread

first of all, i would like to know if anyone finished this game on Legendary mode. The reason is because over the holidays I saw my friend whom was home from college. he told me if i had heard about halo 3 coming out in february. i was like huh? he then told me that one of his friends in college beat the game on legendary, and then it gave him a date of the release of halo 3, which was around mid february.

there was no way in hell i believed my friend. he told me he did not see the screen or anything, just from word of mouth. again, i had no clue about this and still don't really believe him at all because it just seems too unreal. then i thought...

Halo 2 took a LONG time to come out, a lot longer than it really seemed it should have, considering how short the single player is. halo 2 also leaves you hanging big time at the end, ending the game in the middle of a battle. bungie is also very secret about halo 2 and its single player mode. so could this possibly be one of the biggest secrets being held in video game history?

i then came accross this link.. this quote is from OCTOBER 21st 2003, a LONG time ago. here is a quote from the link:

So have any of you guys heard about this suppsoedly "Halo 3" game?!?

He's mistaken.

There is however going to be a Halo 2.5 coming out as a launch title for the Xbox 2. I think it's just the same game as Halo 2, but with much nicer graphics and maybe a few extras thrown in.

Also the word is that it's going to come preinstalled on the hard drive (if you buy the version with a hard drive (that's the other rumor right now, that there will be 2 versions of Xbox 2, one with a hard drive and one without))

what the. i wonder if xbox 2 will be as mod friendly as its predecessor. any word on how much the new sys will cost?

there is like no concrete information on xbox 2 just yet. like the 2nd poster said, they are rumors.

i too have heard about the two rumors. one thing is confirmed by MS though, is that there WILL DEFINITELY be a version of the xbox two without a hard drive.

there is no way to tell if it will be mod friendly and there is no estimated price on it. heck, there isn't even final specs on it. we'll have to wait until E3 to hear them most likely.

Memory cards.

But like others are saying, nothing has been finalized yet (at least publicly). But according to recent reports, there is strong evidence pointing to the two different versions of Xbox2.

And there is a chance that Microsoft may unveil it at the CES show this week, but it's more likely it will wait until E3.
