Compensator is the thing at the end of the gun:

the compensator just to look cool?
and a fake silencer to impress/fool your friends?!

Whats the point of these 2 things on a .22 gun?

Compensator's compensate.
Even on 22's they help. Especially pistols.

And I have no fucking clue what the hell you mean by "fake silencer".

Yah I didn't really understand why in a recent nutnfancy video with Tactical Solutions, a bunch of their 10/22s had compensators on them. I mean I guess it doesn't hurt but it seems like just something that adds more cost to a package that's already fairly pricey. Maybe with a light .22 pistol like a Walther P-22 that is pictured it could help. But a heavier pistol like a Ruger 22/45 or especially a rifle, I definitely wouldn't be spending the $100 or whatever it costs to put on one.

As for a fake silencer, that is just useless. A compensator could be useful in some circumstances but the silencer is nothing but throwing money down the train and adding some weight to your gun. The only reason I'd have one is if it was a gun like say the GSG .22 that looks like a MP5 but they needed the 16" barrel so they made it look like a silenced version.

A fake suppressor would add weight to the end of the barrel which would help accuracy. Still silly. As bad as the compensator. Which is just ridiculous on a .22

"So you don't have to wear ear protection" is the usual reason given.

These would, of course, be suppressors, and not silencers.
