'Dinner at my place', is usually interpreted as you wanting to have sex with her that evening. It's too much for a second date. You were going waaaay too fast. Home-cooked dinner with flowers, candles, and wine....on date two? She probably talked with one of her girlfriends about it and then started to get freaked out.

Yes - I agree with this too. Everyone should read that article. It's a quick read and very good.
She's still a ho for waiting until 5:00 to let him know.

I don't think the dinner by candlelight was too much as others have said. It would have been a good opportunity to get to know each other in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Much better than the movies or a crowded restaurant. She didn't get scared she's just rude and sold you out to go with what in her mind was a better option. Inconsiderate for sure and I hope you stick by your guns and do not give her a second chance.

disagree, you can goto a coffee shop if you want that kind of atmosphere. Usually when you invite a girl over to your place, you have intentions of making out/going to bed. At least that is what the girl will think.

Maybe - maybe not. Maybe she just got done talking to a friend that clued her in about what a date at a dude's place means.

But I bet she's a ho :D
