That's unplated lead (LRN) though even though the pic shows plated. Be careful ordering from Cabelas, they often have multiple products under one product page, so double check the actual item variant being added.

I saw that is was that thunderbolt stuff when I got it. Still willing to try it and see what happens, if it is really bad I'll just give the box away. Only a $20 gamble.

We'll see if the .22LR is actually in stock. I ordered that Winchester M22 on 5/13 and it went straight to backorder. It's still on backorder according to my online order status.

Cabela's online inventory system isn't very good. The last three ammo orders I've placed when straight to backorder.

Just picked up a 500 rd case of PMC Bronze 308 (7.62 NATO) for $256 shipped from Sportsmans Guide.

Came to AT to post the link and it was gone already. :(

Normally have to test small quantities in my PTR91 first but. Since I have other 308s now I don't care.

Plenty of M1A mags to fill since its NATO spec. :)

Same here, nabbed a few cases; 50 cents/round shipped for reloadable .308 is as low as I've seen going back to early last year.

PMC is great stuff. Their XTac LAP M855 is among my favorite 5.56.

Hope their .308 feeds in my AW#### PTR91 without sticking in the chamber.

Can't ever decide to make it a match gun and just not use cheap ammo or replace/reflute the chamber for milsurp.

Then again the PMC brass might be too nice to destroy through a HK91 action anyway...maybe ill stick to steel.

On a side note, I saw someone trying to unload reloadable M80 ball for $1/round on Armslist.

Don't these people know their ship has sailed? Ammo prices are dropping rapidly.

Lol what douchebags.

There is no ammo shortage, just like there is no PS3/Wii/etc launch shortage, its just people buying 10+ and putting them on ebay/gunbroker/craigslist/armslist/etc

Fuck 0 day resellers. You have B&M stores working hard to get goods to people at the market/MSRP price and STILL profit and asshats have to go in and screw everybody else by buying up everything so there is no competition then squatting on .22 for $100 a box. Then they look you in the eye with a pretend dumb look on their face "well you cant get it anywhere else" while they try and hide the stack of Walmart receipts in their shirt pocket.

Can't wait till shipments start flooding stores and they cant afford to keep up buying it all fast enough to keep it off the market, much less sell their own stock.

Yeah it's a free market and all that, still doesn't mean they aren't douchebags.

This whole time I've been stockpiling from Cabelas/AimSurplus/Brownells/Midway/Walmart/Sportsman's Guide/Warehouse, etc and all the places that either jacked up prices (other than cases where the manufacturer themselves marked it up), or didn't limit stock per customer per day (ie: they had no prolems knowingly selling their entire stock at once to resellers/first person in line while telling everyone else to go home) will never see a penny from me.

On the bight side it's awesome to see how many people actually voluntarily remain civilized and fair and keep prices unchanged and limit stock to serve as many customers as possible. I wont complain about paying $11 for a box that should be $10 (10% markup) when everyone else is trying to get $20+

Hehe that PMC 308 is the best price ($256 shipped for case of 500) on any ammo of any caliber that I've seen in a long time, not just since Dec.

Interesting thing on that PMC, I checked on their mobile site and SG has already jacked up the price by $100: http://m.sportsmansguide.com/Product.aspx?a=670732&k=161321

Hmm... I hope it wasn't a listing error.

I placed my order and checked out on mobile and it was $257.45 a case shipped.

On the other hand I think it was a daily special or something?

Also I'm still going to be short loading all my M1A/G3/FAL mags D:

It was an error; I'm betting someone updated their online inventory before the price was adjusted. Whoops ;)

It looks like they're honoring the orders because my card already has pending charges, which doesn't happen with Sportsman's Guide unless they are prepping it for shipment. We'll probably have tracking numbers by tomorrow.

I stand corrected; I just got a tracking number for the M22. About $10 more shipped than what Walmart charges, but in this market I'll take it.

No worries, they get more than enough orders from me to make it worthwhile ;)

The PMC orders from today pushed my shipped orders from SG over the $10k mark since Thanksgiving. Cabela's is a distant second place.

This morning I got backorder notices from Cabelas for everything I ordered yesterday.

Don't count on that backorder from Cabela's being filled. I ordered .223 about 4-5 months ago and it stayed on backorder for almost 2.5 months before being cancelled. Cabela's can suck it as far as I'm concerned. :)

I've been noticing Academy is slowly getting ammo in and you don't have to wait 3 hours before opening in line for it either but it is hit or miss. The ammo prices are pretty much at regular prices. Picked up Tulammo .223 for $ 5.99 (20ea box) the other day but limited to 3 total boxes a day 1 caliber.

Probably not. No sense in investing the capital to fill the short term surge in demand only to have the plants sit idle later.

This. The only shortage right now is greedy dickhole individuals being the first in line somewhere every morning to buy everything for the sole purpose of keeping it out of stock so they can flip it at 3x the market price, which I might add constitutes arms dealing without a licence.

Woot

My 500 rds of PMC .308 for $256 shipped, and I grabbed this local:

WnhGMHAnMqnuYTZ1J3kjNSYfGOmch-3ODdDICzwkcIU

$28 ea for 40 and $24 ea for 9mm (boxes of 50), yes those are very good prices for HST even without Nov/Dec '12.

Great prices. I grab Hornady Critical Duty 9mm for $26.99/50, so $24 for HST is a great deal.
