Ok. My girlfriend and me have been going out on and off for over one year now. I'm 17 and she's 15. Months ago her parents loved me. I asked if she could go with me somewhere and they always said yes, and it didn't matter when she go home. They would also joke with me and talk to me like I was part of their family. But over the past couple of weeks everything has changed. They hardly talk to me. They say she has to be back at 7:00 for no reason at all. They won't even let her go with me anywhere now, and when I ask now they say...IDK. They are also talking sh1t about me behind my back.I don't want to lose this girl because of her parents but this is really starting to get annoying. I haven't done anything to make them stop liking me. Unless someone has started a rumor or something..IDK what to do. What should I do?

Break up. Seriously on and off is not good, parents are probably sick of it, you are 17 she is 15, 99% of the time you never end up with your highschool girlfriend after college, so take this time to enjoy your senior year and date someone else.

Third times a charm? Sorry, I know that is easier said than done, especially when you are in high school, but think of all the girls you could date if you brokeup, and as a bonus you get to start fresh with their parents!

You make it sound as its only small.

One break up is more then enough. Remember you broke up for a reason. Two times is two times too many.

Her parents own her until she lives on her own. Harsh but thats the way life is :(. Parents are protective of their kids. They spend countless hours raising them and to have them taken away is not nice. With all the weirdos and such on the lose and in the news its scary for parent. Not saying you are one but kids can be taken from anywhere now a days.......... :(

I don't think only is the word you want to use here. There are reasons why you've broken up... for sure, let her go. It's for the best, and in one year it'll be over anyways. From a person with experience (going to college in the fall)

Ask her parents if you can talk to them. Be honest with them. Go straight to the horse's mouth.

Ask them if you've done anything to cause this sudden change in their actions towards you. Just try and clear the air.

Ok. I'll try what you said. But if that doesn't work then I'll just end it, and be done with it.

I think when parents notice their children getting in more serious relationship they ask themselves if that's what they want for their child. Though a teen of 15 is starting to develop a independent life, the parents don't see it that way.

They go through this stage when they tend to try and treat their kids like they are "children" again. Trying to keep a leash on them at all times. They don't want them to end up drug users, or pregnant or impregnating someone else. All sorts of things run through a parents mind. Especially if you have a daughter.

All you can do is try your best. But as you said you haven't done anything wrong, so stop fretting. You have many years to chose a future, perhaps it wont be with this girl. However at least you will be able to say you tried.

sounds like they overheard/saw something that happened between the two of you that they didn't approve of and haven't said anything to either of you about it.

have you spoke with your girl about them acting this way?

yeah i've talked to her about it. ok..she took band last year and decided to quit, and even her mom wanted her to quit. But now that school is back in her mom wants her to be in band again and my girlfriend doesn't want to be in it. Her mom thinks that i'm the reason that she doesn't want to be in band. she thinks that my girlfriend wants to stay out of band so she can spend more time with me
