Heres the deal, I'm 18, and I'm graduating in a few days. I've been really really close with this girl since about fifth grade, and we really talk alot, used to like each other quite a bit for some time between 7th and 10th grades, but never did anything. Last night we were laying on my couch watching a movie and just cuddling and nothing really happened. When she had to leave, I took her to the door, she gave me a big hug and said her goodbye and walked out, but about 5 seconds later she ran back in and we just started making out. It was really quite amazing, but I'm still a little bit in shock about it. Now I dont know what to do, we've talked about it, but aren't sure where to go, we will be 2.5 h ours away from each other in college and aren't sure if we want to go on. Any advice?

yeah.. date over the summer.. dont worry about school.. if you decide to stay together, i hope one of you likes driving 2.5 hours every week. otherwise, it'll be very tough

either way, theres no reason not to date over the summer.. have some fun. if you decide not to stay together, you can go back to being friends.

Yeah, take it slow. Don't try too hard to make being a "couple" work, since you're gonna be 2.5 hours apart. At the least, stay friends with her and explore it further when you're not so far apart....

aww, that's just like in the movies hehe.

i was talking to my boss today and he told me that he met his wife in elementary school and they didn't become friends til hs and then started dating at the end of hs...he went to uc berkeley and she went to uc davis for college and they stayed together throughout. then afterwards they both moved to la, lived together for 2 years and are now happily married. i say give it a shot, you'll never know!

Sounds very cute and romantic...at least you don't have to wonder about where things stand, just where they're going. Spend some good time with her over the summer and then see if you're both willing and ready for a kinda-long distance relationship. Would either of you have a car? How often would you see each other?

trust me, if you don't do anything with this situation you will live to regret it for many many years. just wrap it up or use some type of protection. and like the others stated....5hrs round trip aint nothin when you're jonesin for some a$$ :D

See where the situation takes you. My roommate junior year was a freshman. He and his woman stayed together and made things work. They both just graduated, and lived about 2 hours apart in college. Give it a shot with her. If you don't, you'll be sorry.

2.5hrs is nothing...meet halfway every weekend or even during the week if your summer jobs allow.
