Tomorrow I am taking my girlfriend out for dinner and a movie. It is going to be very romantic but I would like to buy her a gift. However, i am at a loss for idea's. She is asian if that makes any difference.

1. She does not wear much jewellry.

2. Allergic to Flowers.

3. Does not want chocolate.

4. something like stuffed animal does not seem 'proper' for a romantic evening.

Please, idea's.

This would be a time when paying attention to what she says will pay off. What has she expressed interest in lately?

well taking her to the movies, show up with a bag of chocolate covered gummi bears, but if she really does not want chocolate, gummy savers and gummi bears plain are always good.

what type of dinner is it going to be? fast food? steak house? maybe buy a gift geared towards that?

if she is chinese, you might want to get something for her parents intead (that's if she's traditional chinese, and their parents know about you). They would like a fruit basket.

Lottery scratchers?

Why do you have to buy her any gifts? Don't be so desperate, man. ;)

I'd feel that it would be hard to come with a gift without being too cheesy. I'd rather concentrate on making it a good time for her.

1.5 months is pretty short, and I feel that giving gifts for gift's sake has the risk of inducing a stress on material goods in the relationship, which is why I advocate just concentrating making it a good time for her. Now if you've noticed that she has something she really likes, then get it for her, but I'm not too fond of giving gifts for gift's sake. The above is just my opinion of course.
