(YAGT) Uh oh I think I have a girl problem

I was talking to my friend's girlfriend (they go to UT Dallas) and she asked me to IM her friend and see if she was there for her. I started talking to her and she happens to go to UT (Austin), live in the same apartment complex as me, and is reportedly attractive. I said we should hang out and she agreed, so she wants to do something Friday night, and gets off work at 9pm.
The problem is it will probably be Valentine's Day when I am with her.. So am I supposed to give her a flower or something? We didn't say technically anything about a date, just "hanging out", and I don't really know her, but I don't know how it works.

If you care about your relationship with your friend, no.. If you are interested in her and not her boyfriend, show up w/ a rose or two.

No no. It's the friend of the friend's girlfriend.

Just turn up man.

Flowers and sh!t later.

Just hang and have some fun.

Koing

buy 1 rose, and some chocolates and stick them in your trunk. its cold enuff in texas, so don't worry it wont melt.

i doubt the date will turn romantic so soon, and that you would be able to give her it, but that 1% chance exists that you two totally click. if this happens, give it to her then, otherwise, you lose out on 1 flower. eat the chocolates.

You are over-analyzing the situation.

I totally agree... she said nothing of setting up a date. Just hanging out. If she's bothered by you not getting a rose than she's not worth it anyways.

Didn't know you, were from Austin wink. Just get her something a small gift (chocolate covered strawberry or a single rose). That's just my recommendation though

Why does ATOT assume that this means she wants to marry you?

The same person who assumes you have to give her something maybe?
