YAGT: The dreaded "just a friend" line

You're taking a chick that you're try to get with to a movie, dinner, whatever, an unofficial date. While walking to/from the said destination, you are confronted by the "flower lady". The flower lady is the woman who walks around pedaling (no pun intended) her cheap roses to the couples she sees on the street. Anyways, the flower lady asks "Would you like to buy a rose for the girlfriend?" Before you can make up an excuse to not buy the flowers while at the same time, trying to keep her interest (or so you thought) and avoid looking cheap, she replies, "Oh, he's not my boyfriend, just a friend."
