I have to say I disagree with those who are responding that he should assume she's looking for someone else and get out though. Her intentions might be legitimate, I wouldn't immediately break up with her for such a reason. If you have a concern as to why she accepted the invitation in the first place, then talk to her about it.

You don't expect me to do that if you ever do what the OP's girlfriend is doing right?

I need you to explain what could possibly be legitimate about a person in a long term serious relationship having "1 on 1" outings with people of the opposite sex they have recently met.

For some reason, girls almost always give horribly fantastical advice on other women. I guess they're prone to assuming the best, while the guys responding are 90% of the time speaking out of hard-won experience in the subject matter.

UPDATES!

I man'ned up and pour out my heart to bitch the fvck out of her after 2-3hrs of her nagging. She got more mad later but eventually got scared to see how pissed I was. Now, she's trying to say things in "nice" way... Btw, she says she's not gonna go see the dude anymore..

She could just be interested in him as a friend. Or, even if it's completely naive of me to think that, I still wouldn't agree with writing off the entire relationship for that reason only. I'd definately say a discussion is in order so that the issue can be clarified. After that, then he can place her claims against his own observations, and weigh them with the past experiences he has had with her and the level of trust that they share.

Yeah. This has nothing to do with "trust".

You need to break up with her anyway.

In my incredibly cynical and completely baseless opinion, this just means that the next time she goes out with a guy 1 on 1 she isn't going to tell you about it.

I am sorry but you are clueless and naive. You don't make new "1 on 1" friends of the opposite sex while in a serious relationship unless you are looking for a parachute to leave the relationship.....PERIOD.

OP I hope you realize that while your conversation may have scared her a little bit it isn't a permanent solution to your problems. As others have stated, the next time she seems him she just isn't going to tell you about it.

And again, to all the women on this board trying to defend this girl please be real with yourselves. Women ALWAYS keep their options open for the next best thing, it's almost instinctual behavior. Clearly she's having doubts about you being that best thing so it's best you leave now and let her evaluate her options while you date others as well.

Dump that bitch. Chances are she's already fvcked him. And if she hasn't, she's thinking about it.

Exactly and now even worse she will hold it against you. You will always be the bad guy now for not letting her have her way. And it will be a wedge in the relationship she will use as an excuse to do what she wants. I know how these damn women think... or should I say "feel". They always feel something instead of thinking. Then she will get all her friends together and as they gossip she'll bring this up and they will all turn on you and call you an a-hole. It's jacked /bitter and been there

break up, or if you're low enough to do it, just start making new "friends" of your own, and tell her about it.

I like how you use the phrase "don't let her go", as if you had control over her or something.

The amount of hatred towards women in this thread is obscene. Almost every post.

she is getting banged left and right i'm sure.
If your game is tight enough you can get just about any woman to drop her panties.
Women are not logical creatures, they are driven by their emotions more than anything.
She has already cheated on you
It's unbelievable how many women cheat.
woman are cowards and never leave a guy until they have a new one to buy them ****** and inflate their ego
you are a man and she is a whore.
Bitchslap her when she tries to come back because they always do.
they always come back. always like an annoying std.
their girlfriends are getting anally violated by a different drunken frat-boy every weekend
I man'ned up and pour out my heart to bitch the fvck out of her after 2-3hrs of her nagging
ditch the bitch anyway for considering having dinner "1 on 1"
Dump that bitch. Chances are she's already fvcked him. And if she hasn't, she's thinking about it.

I also thought a phrase like "ie, pussy-whipped dickless PC faggots" was ban-worthy.

Really he doesn't need to break it off right away, maybe sleep it off and decide in morning, but seems that break up is inevitable.

well.... you better start test driving cuz your current has been doing a little of her own or is planning to soon. Seriously, start making "new friends"... don't be a wuss and think this is the end of it. Man up! Either she's gonna put the issue on hold is gonna keep it from you. Might as well see what your options are. And in the mean time, if you're gonna still be banging her, you better start using protection, though most likely I wouldn't touch that sh1t no mo....

I've seen this happen so many times... one of my boys constantly bangs girls who have boyfriends. He's a really good lucking guy, and man those chicks drop their draws so quick its not even funny. I feel bad for the girls BF's but hey, what are you gonna do? He's just playing the field, its not his fault the girls are so weak-minded. Don't end up being the guy with the girl who's banging other guys behind you back. If you notice anything else thats strange, act on it. But I warn you now, I would't wait for that to happen, I'd put her shiat out on the street. I'm currently engaged and if my fiancee pulled that shiat, the wedding would be cancelled, I'd take my platinum diamond ring back and throw her crap out so quick it ain't even funny.

Good luck

In some ways I can understand where you are coming from... but in all my experience there is one thing I know... woman like to fvck just as much as men do... so long as its good. In this case, no female should ever even consider going out on a 1-on-1 date while in a serious relationship with one exception... he's gay.

Not for a second would my fiancee let me go out with a female alone by myself. I wouldn't do it anyways, out of RESPECT for my fiancee. There's just no need for it unless something is lacking in the relationship. I mean, gimme one good reason why it would be OK to do it?

hotchic, i dislike people that lie and cheat regardless of their sex. and 9 outta 10 times theyre no different than stds. alot of the ppl in this thread have been through what this guy is currently going through and are trying to help him. if he had been a she etc id have posted the same. i really dont see this thread as woman bashing but the bashing of liars and whores rather.

Are you going to argue that the gist of this thread isn't "dump that bitch, she will inevitably cheat on you"? Or that those comments, in or out of context, were appropriate? Or that the context was any different than the comments themselves?

I guess I find this sad because I have plenty of male friends, I'll spend time with them in or out of a group, and I never once have considered cheating on my husband, nor would I. My reason for hanging out with them is the same as it would be for hanging out with my female friends; I like them as human beings and as friends.

In my original post, I said that the situation sounded fishy to me because the "one on one" thing was so insistent, rather than happening naturally as a progression in the friendship, so I'm not denying anybody's comments that there is a potential or likelihood for trouble - I'm just cutting the girl enough slack to maybe give her a chance to explain herself.
