Girl I dated when I was 19, she was 20. I was pretty immature (still am kinda) and after a few months I broke up with her over a stupid argument. About 20 minutes later I realized how stupid I was and tried to get her back but to no avail. We were friends with befits for a while but that's the closest I got to getting her back.

There was this girl who wanted me to go out with her, i said no as i was too spooked to be in a relationship, she got over it but i ended up liking her more and more but it was too late by then :(

Never had one 'get away'

But I've had one ripped away forever right in front of me in a firefight. :(

I had one that I nursed for years, and it was even worse since it was my fault she "got away" (more accurately, I "got away", not her). But I eventually met someone who erased everyone that came before and made me glad the others didn't work out...so I married her. No more regrets.

I think the lack of closure (God, I hate that term) is what makes it so keen. Still think about her now and again even after nine years, a marriage, and a child.

No, my wife has no idea and never will. Some things are better left unsaid.

How about you?

Yes I have one and I am glad she got away!

I still have nightmares that I am still dating her. Once I woke up in a cold sweat because I was dreaming that we had gotten married!

My first boyfriend from when I was about 8. His family moved away suddenly during the school year and I never got to say goodbye or find out where he went. I would not want to resume anything but I have always wondered about him and hoped he was ok :)

Yep, there was. And for the first 10 years or so, i use to judge almost all girls by her. But i think i've gotten over it now. I think about her now and then, just wondering what her life could be like now (and what mine would be like).
