YAGT: Since there hasn't been one posted today!

My GF is an RA in a college dorm, that means basically if I want to be with her, I need to go over there.

This has been on my mind a lot, I think I'm starting to associate that if I want to see her, I have to go over there. I understand (and have always understood) that she has a job and must be there. It is not a "go there or nothing" thing, she was here for 3 hours today and went out with me last night (5-midnight) but it's the constant me being in her room that I'm stuck on. She has work to do, I have work to do, but if I want to see her, it basically comes down to:

a) postpone whatever I need to do (ie: laundry for the past 2 weeks)
b) go there and try to get work done (ie: homework without the internet)

I guess it's the fact that I expect her to pay attention to me if I go over there, but instead she works, so it's like.. Hello, I came over here to be with you, but this sucks because I could be at home getting menial stuff done while you work, so when you're done we can talk and be together!!

But alas, it is a YAGT thread, there must be angst from the start to end. I think I fufilled that requirement.

I'm married, to my one true love so I tend to view things through that perspective. When we were dating there was NOTHING more important than spending ANY availbale time with her.

Dude you're a whiny b!tch. I get to see my g/f for MAX one weekend every month. She lives 2000 miles away. Try dealing with that. I think you'd snap. At least you get to spend time with your girl. Be thankful for that.

I guess it's the fact that I expect her to pay attention to me if I go over there, but instead she works, so it's like..

lol, work huh? like what just stand there and make sure you answer all those newb freshmans questions, theres not much to it when it comes down to RA "work" just F her here and there, this shouldn't even be an issue.

Wow. RA's around here have a LOT of stuff to do, like put on events and deal with staff related events and planning trips/etc. Try dating an RA sometime.

Wow. RA's around here have a LOT of stuff to do, like put on events and deal with staff related events and planning trips/etc. Try dating an RA sometime.

And she coordinated the International student crap, she was super busy back then, good think i got her pregnant. That sure slowed her down.
