YAGT: Should I go out with my dentist?

Okay, so last January when I went to the dentist for my regular checkup, I noticed they'd hired a new assistant. She does most of the work, while the dentist guy just comes in and checks her work when she's done. Anyway, she's like two years older than me (26) but DAYUM she's hot! She's Indian AND she's got a legit southern accent!! Anyways, we had a pretty good conversation the last time (impressive considering her fingers and dentistry paraphernalia were in my mouth the whole time.) We figured out we both have some of the same interests, we both know some of the same people, and we both have feelings of mixed identity (other indians consider us 'whitewashed'.) But I never really thought about callin her up again (I mean, we only just met for a little over 30 minutes.)

So today I went in for my 6 month checkup. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment (ughh...I hate 8 AM appointments.) As soon as I walk in I hear her call out from the back "That better be you"...and she remembered my name! So I walk up sheepishly and she's like "WHY ARE YOU LATE!! OMG I WAS WAITING FOR YOU!!" and she told me how she was hoping to catch up with me before she put stuff in my mouth that made it hard to talk. Now she had to rush. Didn't know she'd be looking forward to talking. Of course, while she's all up in my mouth she's yakkin' on about what she's been doing. I asked her what she did for the Fourth and she says she went to NYC and had fun, but she didn't have anyone to go with and all her pics came out bad (hmm...reminded me we had talked about digital cameras 6 months before...she remembered that!!!) After my checkup, I told her (and the real dentist) that I'd probably come back this month to get my top wisdom teeth pulled. She seemed happy I'd be coming in much sooner. Then, before I left, she gave me her number. 😕 🙂 😀

I'm still a little uncertain of what to do. I mean, she's cute, seems like a good person, knows how to have fun, but at the same time she's my DENTIST, and she also seems kinda lonely and I'm just looking for casual dating, not a serious relationship. Of course, because I'm a geek on ATOT, I could be gettin WAY ahead of myself and most likely she just wants to go out to a movie or dinner once in awhile (heh, she lives in the boonies outside Charlotte!) So whaddya think I should do?
 
Go for it. Sounds like you are both interested. It couldn't hurt to ask her out for a drink or something.

By the sounds of things, a Dental Assistant. They do prep-work before the appointment, help the dentist during the appointment, and then clean up the room afterwards.

As for the girl, it's part of her job to be talkative and friendly, but by the sounds of things she's legitimately interested in you. If I was you, I'd ask her if she was up for a date some night.
 
She's not your dentist, by what you've said. She's either the assistant or a hygienist. In that case, I say go for it. Why not?
