YAGT: question for a girl about prom...

What would you want a guy to say to you if he wanted to go to prom with you but didn't really want anything serious, just wanted you to go with him?

Edit: If I asked her in front of people would that make her feel pressured to say yes?

If he were honest and upfront, yet respectful... then the it would be ok for the girl to decide to go or not.

But lying and sneaking and putting on a false ...niceness... just to get l@id.... no way...

I'm not goin to get laid, unlike the 99% of the population I'd rather wait til marrage, and yes I know I'll get flamed for this but I simply don't give a crap...

i don't think there is a way. My sister told me to ask someone to a winter formal because she wants to go but doesn't have a date, so i did, and she said no. Til this day she still thinks that i had a crush on her in HS. We are close friends now, and her current bf is one of my close friend too, and he said "i know that you used to like her" haha i got pissed, and i explained to him the situation, i also said i wanted to explain it to her as well, and make sure that she knows that i have never felt anything for her, but he said to just let it go, it was HS, so i did. confusing eh, stupid rambling...

you should prolly open with something like 'are you going to prom with anyone' just to cover your a$s. plus it gives you the opening. then the whole wanna go to prom, just as friends thing. i dont understand why you would wanna go as friends though... you could chill and dance together even if you went separately. then it opens up the possibility of hooking up with other singles. *shrug* thats just what i think.

Just ask her to the prom, don't say anything like "i dont want it to be serious" or anything like that. If you don't mention anything, she won't expect you to be dating her after prom. It's just an event. Going to the prom does not initiate a dating process that must be followed afterwards, but depending on how the night happens it could possibly lead to dating them. Most of the time, if nothing else, you'll at least get some 'tang before the night is over...If not, you've either got morals or you did something wrong
