Well how about this? Fund research and development on a cheap and reliable biometric triggering system. Once that happens every firearm is so equipped to prevent someone who does not have properly given access from creating issues.

This is not a gun issue. This is simply a training issue. This is why they need to offer age appropriate gun safety classes to children before they enter pre-K. In order to protect our children from active shooters in schools, we need to insure that our children enter the public school system with the training and experience necessary to not only handle a firearm, but to be able to identify and take down threats.
